With all the choices for lawyers out there; among the ambulance chasers and people who make the process a fiendishly, and above all unpleasant experience, there is a shining gem of a law office. The lawyers and staff at Schackow & Mercadante are professional, courteous and above all treat you like the person you are. You are not a number, you are not just a paycheck, but you are a friend, a guest, dare I even say, a family member. The case I brought to them was a motor vehicle accident, I was wrongly accused of being the at fault party. Luckily enough, I have a dash-cam that captured it all. Not only did I go into court to contest the ticket (of which I was acquitted), but I had a whole TEAM of lawyers and law professionals to defend me. I felt like I had won before we even stepped into the courtroom. After this I had to become well again from the injuries I had sustained and recuperate the losses I was now beleaguered with. Once again, Mr. Schackow and his team rose to the occasion and after having surgery I am pain free for the first time since the accident and it is worth more to me than anything else and all returning to a sense of normalcy. The advice I give to potential clients is this. Stay positive, be patient, GET A DASHBOARD CAMERA it may save you and above all focus on becoming well, they have your case in hand and will make sure you get the best and fairest treatment. I have unfortunately had a few accidents and was lucky enough to have their great service. One was a car accident case being rear-ended while stopped. I used a horrible chiro (instead of the one they recommended) who had been charging me interest on my unpaid bills, even though it was filed as a personal injury case and they knew they would get paid at the end of the case with the PIP money. My paralegal fought to get those unethical fees waived and lowered as much of the costs as possible. My other case was leaving UF and got hit walking on the crosswalk with the right of way by someone making a right-hand turn. I was lucky enough to only suffer a broken ankle. I had the same paralegal and she settled the case and had the payout in only a couple of months with the max amount. This is a firm with the friendliest office staff around! I highly recommend them (in any bad situation)!
